Volunteer Recruiter
JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Volunteer Recruiter is responsible for coordinating and implementing recruitment activities for the organization to ensure availability of qualified applicants to meet CASA’s needs. Duties include coordinating county-specific recruitment efforts and developing outreach strategies to improve recruiting and retention effectiveness; tracking and monitoring potential volunteers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Volunteer Recruitment
- With the Regional Recruitment Coordinator, support volunteer recruiting, screening, and interview processes in Mercer and Burlington Counties
- Actively engage in community outreach to secure a pipeline of qualified volunteer candidates.
- Host and attend recruiting events, including community fairs and tabling events
- Attend monthly staff meetings.
- Assist in volunteer appreciation events and all program events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with other volunteer organizations.
- Offer constructive feedback to improvements and advancements for the CASA organization.
- Keep necessary database records as described by our volunteer management procedures.
Qualifications:
Volunteer Recruiter should have the following skills and experience:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience in volunteer management, marketing, public relations, sales, communications or related field is preferred.
- Exemplary organizational and time management skills.
- Capacity to work independently, develop strategies and build alliances to reach stated recruitment goals.
- Strong written, oral communication, and public speaking skills
- The ability to communicate with, supervise, and empower volunteers to be effective in their roles.
- The ability to work cooperatively with different types of personalities.
- Strong computer skills necessary.
- Willing to work at least 2 evenings a month and occasional weekends for recruitment fairs.

Position Details
Pay rate: $25,000 per year
Approximately 18 hours per week
